    We are available by phone or text on weekdays between 9am and 5pm.
Survivors of domestic or sexual violence can speak with our Direct Services Manager for emotional support, to make a safety plan, or to access one of the following offerings:
Emergency Fund:

We offer small grants to those fleeing violence or facing an economic crisis that will put them at risk for violence. Funds can go towards the costs of moving, rent, legal fees, or child care.

Connect to Social Services

If eligible, we can help you apply for government benefits, including health care, housing support, and help affording food.

Groceries

Emergency Fund recipients can receive Indo-Caribbean groceries to their home for a limited time while they get to safety.

Support Group

We hold support groups for survivors of domestic and sexual violence twice a month. One session is virtual and one is held in our office. To attend, email lalita@jahajee.org or call/text 347.201.4931.

In-person: First Tuesday of every month
Virtual: Third Tuesday of every monthly

Discounted Therapy

Survivors in crisis may be eligible for a series of discounted therapy sessions with an Indo-Caribbean mental health professional. We work with trusted mental health professionals who are culturally competent and aligned with the values of our organization.
